quattro/Compound Management
An efficient compound management system is a pre-requisite for a smooth drug discovery process. quattro/CM stands for Compound Management and was developed especially to fulfill the complex requirements of a compound management and inventory system in research laboratories.

- Secure Data Storage
quattro/CM is based on an Oracle database, the perfect base for secure, reliable and scalable data handling and management. quattro/CM further provides an advanced user management and user profiling.
- Location Management and Stock Management
quattro/CM tracks the complete life-cycle of all compounds available in your company, starting from the arrival and registration of compounds, the different locations in your laboratories up to their complete consumption. The system knows the current amount and location of any compound in its container at any time. quattro/CM supports external devices like barcode-scanner, balances or automated storage racks that help you to automate the handling of your compound containers.
- Compounds, Articles/Batches and Container
quattro/CM stores information of all chemical compounds available in your facility in one database. This includes chemical structure, molecular properties, order and storage information and security information like hazard symbols and MSDS (material safety data sheet). Every compound can have multiple batches/articles, that are stored in different containers, even in well plates.
You can define a minimum available compound stock for each compound. quattro/CM monitors compound stocks and automatically sends order requests to your purchasing department when stocks are running low.
- Hazard Information
Requirements of regulatory bodies are complied with by storing hazard symbols, MSDS and operating instructions in combination with compounds and batches. quattro/CM tracks all handling of hazardous materials and can report all available amounts of hazardous compounds in your laboratories.
- Reporting
Reports can be made with quattro/CM's advanced reporting and query technology (i.e. total consumption per month, number and nature of hazardous compounds in each lab, compound consumption per projects…).
- Chemical Structure Support
quattro/CM enables you to search for chemistry, either by exact, substructure or similarity search queries.
Structures can be displayed either in grid-mode or in detail view. They can be imported, exported or copied to standard drawing programs for chemical structures like ChemDraw or Isis-Draw. quattro/CM handles counter ions and R-groups.
- Advanced Search Features
Compounds, batches and containers can be searched in quattro/CM by different criteria, even substructure and exact structure search. quattro/CM has its own Oracle chemistry cartridge (quattro/SCC) included but also works with Oracle cartridges from other vendors like Accelrys or Infochem. Query lists can be further filtered, grouped and exported.
- Batch Mode
Compound-lists can be imported in batch mode from supplier SD-files. An inventory of compounds is possible from different containers, even from well-plates in different formats.
- Open Architecture
quattro/CM interacts with existing accounting, ERP and compound registration software. Of course, quattro/CM also works perfectly in combination with any other quattro module.
