GYUHO (Connected Cow) is a IoT solution for increasing cattle breeding efficiency

Gyuho detects estrous signs from changes in the step count data, by utilizing the behavioral characteristics of cattle.
It is a service that supports a high conception rate. It can help efficient farm management by reducing opportunities lost due to missed estrus.

How does Gyuho work?
  • GYUHO SaaS monitors the estrus signs of breeding cattle 24 hours a day
  • Breeding cattle are equipped with pedometers, and estrus signs (changes in step count data) are constantly monitored. 
  • If estrus signs are recognized, an alert mail is sent.
  • The breeding information of the ranch can be visualized and the breeding schedule can be confirmed from breeding information. 
  • The service is available anywhere, since it is a cloud-based service.

GYUHO SaaS has the following advantages compared to the package type, since it is a cloud-based service.
 
  • Possible to reduce the initial costs, since the service usage fee is monthly or yearly.
  • The service is available from anywhere if there is an Internet connection.
  • No data loss due to failure of a PC etc., since the data is accumulated and managed in the cloud.
  • Software installation or updates to a PC are not necessary
  • Server, software maintenance, and operation are performed by FUJITSU
Requirements
GYUHO – Requirements
  • Pedometer - Counts steps, after being fitted on breeding cattle
  • Receiver, Dipole antenna - Receives the step count data sent from the pedometer
  • Router, 3G  card - Sends the step count data to the center via the Internet
  • PC, Smart device - Receive the estrous sign alert mail sent from the center. Connect to the center via the Internet

  • Recognition of the best timing for insemination by detecting estrus.
  • Early detection of conception as well as due date prediction becomes possible according to the state of estrus after insemination.
